OLD PARISH After extensive restoration, we offer you spacious rooms in a historic building in a quiet location in Hartefeld. Our rooms are lovingly furnished and equipped with a shower room including hairdryer, box spring beds, WiFi and TV. There are facilities for making tea, coffee and cold drinks in the room. Pets are not allowed. The good transport connections offer you the opportunity to reach the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region including the Düsseldorf trade fair and the Weeze and Düsseldorf airports. Parking spaces (with an electric car charging station opposite) are available. 6 km to Nieukerk train station · 6 km to Geldern train station 25 km to Weeze Airport · 55 km to Düsseldorf / Messe Airport Centrally located, you can explore the Lower Rhine or the Netherlands from the “Old Rectory”. We stayed in the hotel for one night as a group of four. When we left we left a key in the outside door and one on the table in our room. The key was misplaced by the staff and we were told that we had lost it or taken it with us so that we could be charged for this. The key appeared strangely white again, on the cupboard (where there is hardly any space between the ceiling and the cupboard). We didn't put it there and no one apologized for making such allegations. I've been stressed all week about this assumption. In addition, the message to the other person who booked made fun of how one puts the key in such a place. I had to make a phone call afterwards and was still accused even when the key turned up again. This is not a good service, the telephone availability is just as bad. There is no good interpersonal interaction or manners here. The hotel is very old-fashioned as is the owner's manners, simply rude. I personally don't recommend this hotel, not that this scam still works for anyone.
